2月15日 中国年要到了The PGSA invites you to celebrate the Year of the Pig with your fellow physicists (of all
nations) this Friday. Come learn how to make *authentic* Chinese dumplings, and eat a number of them, too. Festivities will begin in the lounge at 5pm with dumpling-making, with much fun to ensue (there's a rumour of a Chinese movie later...). What? Chinese New Year celebrations When? Friday, Feb 16, 5pm Where? Physics lounge Who? All physics people 系里的研究生会向所有学生和员工发出的邀请。不过貌似中国人还没讨论好做什么馅儿的饺子。。。
忽然想起来一次电梯里面，一个教授忽然自豪的对另一个教授说，"Do you know what year it is?" 另一个哑然。"It's the Year of Pig!"然后回头冲我一乐，"Right?"
"Yeah!"  2月8日 Can anyone give me any suggestion or comments on...a trip to somewhere this summer?:-) Say, I may have one week's time to carry out this trip during the summer break.
And...is anyone interested to be a partner? Tell me, if you're interested.
(Listed below in the order of preference)
Option I:
A trip to Europe. The one I fancy is Vienna. But that's just a thought.
Option II:
A trip to Tibet, since I may go back to China some time this summer and it's the place I most fancy. Nevertheless, it can be a trip to some other part in China depending on who will be part of it.
Option III:
A trip to the US. There may be a lot of places worth visiting. I am 85% sure that I will show up in NY for a week this June for some other reason. To have another week hanging around in US is fine. So, Howaii, Los Angeles, or ??? |
